The Texas A&M University-Kingsville School of Music seeks a creative,
collaborative, and dedicated pedagogue and scholar to serve as a Lecturer of Musicology and
Music Theory, teaching undergraduate courses as assigned in music history, music theory, and
ear training.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
-Master’s degree in musicology, music theory, or a related field (ABD or PhD
preferred)
-Experience teaching music history and/or music theory courses at the collegiate level

GENERAL INFORMATION: Texas A&M University-Kingsville is a state-assisted institution
with an enrollment of about 6,000 students. The School of Music (SOM), an accredited
institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music, currently enrolls
about 290 undergraduate and 25 graduate music majors, with 27 full-time and 18 part-time
