The Division of Music History, Theory, and Ethnomusicology is a vibrant contributor to the College of Music, the University of North Texas, and the surrounding community. We maintain a full range of academic programs at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral level. Our PhD is more than fifty years old and was the first doctoral program established at the University of North Texas. Today more than sixty students are enrolled in our graduate programs. As a hub of academic and musical activity, our division fosters a wide range of projects and initiatives.
